Jason and Lucia Can Break Up After All: MikeShowSha’s Translated Rockstar North Session Is the Biggest GTA 6 Info Drop Since the Extended Look

+5 XP for Sharing

An Italian creator’s July session at Rockstar North finally exists in English, and it touches more systems than anything since the Extended Look. Rob Nelson says the couple can split, arrests confiscate found guns, and robbery cash needs laundering first.

Quick take
  • Mike asked Rob Nelson directly whether Jason and Lucia can break up. The reported answer was yes: the romance can end while the criminal partnership continues.
  • Arrest respawns you outside the jail with some money gone. Weapons picked up in the world can be confiscated, but owned weapons stay in your personal vehicle.
  • The duffel bag from a robbery held marked bills that had to go through a laundering business before the cash was usable.
  • Body fat and sleep quality are named stats, muscle needs roughly three gym visits per in-game week, and the in-game day runs longer than GTA 5’s 48 minutes.
  • Everything here is preview material from a July build, relayed from memory and translated by a Reddit volunteer. Treat each line as reported, not confirmed.

The Biggest Drop Since August 27 Arrived in Italian

Rockstar rations information ruthlessly, and then sometimes it leaks out sideways in a language most of the fanbase does not read. Italian creator MikeShowSha spent a July session at Rockstar North in Edinburgh with Rob Nelson, the same round of visits that produced the Rubius notes and the TGG videos. His recap sat largely untranslated until Reddit user El_Pintor64 turned it into English this week, with Sportskeeda and Insider Gaming picking it up on September 8.

Read it end to end and the scale is obvious. Arrest rules, money laundering, a body fat stat, three personal vehicle slots, and a straight answer on whether Jason and Lucia can split up. Nothing since the Extended Look itself has touched this many systems at once.

One caveat, and it applies to every line below. This is a July build, relayed from memory, then translated by a volunteer. Treat each detail as reported, not confirmed.

Yes, They Can Break Up. No, They Cannot Quit.

Start with the line that rewrites a page on this site. Mike says he asked Rob Nelson directly whether Jason and Lucia can break up, and the answer was yes. They can stop being a couple. They stay partners in crime, because the shared story keeps going.

That is a different answer to the one on record. Rockstar’s earlier position, repeated in Rob Nelson’s IGN interview, was that the pair cannot break up and that acting like a couple is the optional part. Our relationship guide still carries that older line, and it is being updated. Side by side, the two statements just about reconcile. The partnership is locked. The romance is not.

According to Mike, the relationship includes moments where you decide whether to tell your partner something or hide it. Telling them can cause a problem now. Hiding it can cause a bigger one later. Rockstar staff reportedly compared it to what real couples go through, a strange sentence to write about a game where you can also kick a pedestrian from a moving scooter. Rubius adds the other half in the companion piece: abandon your partner in a firefight and they get angry, and the state of the relationship affects how well robberies go. Neglect has a cost now. So does honesty, apparently.

The partnership can fracture, but the story keeps both of them in it.

What Actually Happens When the Cuffs Go On

Mike’s notes fill in the GTA 6 respawn ritual. Die and you wake up at a hospital. Get arrested and you respawn outside the jail with some cash gone, presumably a walk out of Leonida Penitentiary for a chunk of the map. The new wrinkle is what the police keep. Weapons you picked up off the ground can be confiscated. Weapons you own, including anything you have customised, stay safe in the boot of your personal vehicle.

Getting caught is harder than the Extended Look let on. Mike describes the two-zone search from our wanted system guide and adds that leaving the inner zone does not end the hunt. On six stars, Rob Nelson told him escape is extremely difficult, then deliberately declined to say what else happens up there. Rockstar-speak for find out the hard way.

Two anecdotes stuck with me. Jason took a taser hit, went down, and got up with visible scrapes on his knees and elbows. And an overweight officer chasing Jason on foot ran out of steam and stopped, bent double, hands on knees. Cops have stamina now. Not all of them have much of it.

Then the money. The duffel bag from a robbery held marked bills that could not simply be spent, so they drove to a business that launders cash. Fences take jewellery and drugs, per our money guide. Laundering is the cash equivalent.

The Life Sim Layer Finally Has Numbers

The Extended Look told us bodies change. Mike puts figures on the gym.

  • Keeping muscle takes roughly three gym visits per in-game week, and squats are one of the exercises on offer.
  • An in-game day runs longer than GTA 5’s 48 minutes, according to a second creator from the same sessions who says he asked Rob Nelson directly. No exact figure was given, and it decides how demanding three visits really is.
  • Body fat and sleep quality are visible per-character stats in the menu, with a well-rested indicator. The same second creator says Rob told him sleep affects regeneration.
  • Around three in-game days without sleep shows on the character, bags under the eyes included.
  • Protein drinks at the gym shorten recovery, and an adrenaline consumable gives a quick stamina boost mid-escape.
  • Jason and Lucia at maximum weight and muscle were shown. Mike declined to describe them.

Mike also draws the line that will reassure anyone burned by Red Dead 2’s cores: the loop is faster and less demanding than Arthur Morgan’s. Lucia fights with a technical kickboxing style, Jason as a brawler who leans on power. Our stats and fitness guide is getting these numbers.

Three Vehicle Slots, One Scooter and a Missing Thank You

Scooter Bros finally makes sense. Mike watched a delivery play out in full: an NPC drives your car to you, gets out, and rides away on an electric scooter. Rob Nelson noticed Jason did not thank the driver and flagged it for the team to fix. Rockstar is polishing manners in a game about armed robbery.

The July build had three personal vehicle slots: one for Lucia, one for Jason, one spare. During the session they sold Jason’s car and registered a stolen one in its place. Registered vehicles are the ones you can summon and the ones that hold your loadout, which is why the confiscation rule only protects guns in your own boot. The count could change. The vehicle theft guide covers the sell-and-register loop.

Controls moved too. Drift sits on A or X now, because you can fire freely from a moving vehicle and the bumper is spoken for. Sprint is a click of the left stick, which our movement guide already tracked. Stolen cars can arrive with a low tank or a flat battery, per the fuel system, and how you take a car matters. A clean entry and a smashed window are not the same act in the eyes of the criminal profile.

The World Kept Doing Things Rockstar Had Never Seen

The best story in the translation is the jewellery shop. Two masked women had botched a robbery and got locked inside when the alarm tripped the door. They asked Jason and Lucia for help. Mike let them out, then robbed the place himself. Rockstar staff reportedly said they had not seen that exact situation in months of testing. If the builders are still surprised, the event pool is deep.

The rest, in two piles.

// People

  • Some NPCs will approach and try to take a weapon out of your hands rather than run.
  • Hats and glasses knocked off in a fight can be picked up and worn, an improvised disguise after a crime.
  • Clothing fits the neighbourhood: athletic wear outside a gym, casual near the pair’s apartment. A woman insulted Lucia’s gym outfit, Lucia knocked her out, and the boyfriend fled when Jason arrived.
  • Some people on the in-game social feed can be found in the world, sometimes doing the stunt they posted.

// Things

  • Newspapers on shop shelves can be picked up and paged through, Red Dead 2 style, as an optional collectible.
  • A panicked cashier gave up the existence of a back-room safe mid-robbery, turning a quick job into a greed-versus-time decision.
  • Dogs accept treats, and the Study interaction names the breed for the wildlife register.

Our living world guide and robbery guide are where most of this ends up.

Choices That Stick and a Profile That Stays Quiet

The criminal profile is the system fans keep trying to turn into a morality meter, and Mike’s notes push back again. It grants no powers. Its extremes open nothing. You can largely ignore it. It watches how you work: avoid needless casualties and it reads you as more professional, smash a window and it notices. Rob told Mike it is still being tuned, and TGG has separately relayed that push it far enough and the profile gives up tracking you for the rest of the playthrough.

The story side is the more interesting half. Mike describes explicit decision points whose outcomes shape later events, separate from the profile’s slow drift. The campaign is chaptered, but once the opening missions are done you can go anywhere, and the map fills from fog of war as you travel. Whichever lead you are not controlling carries on with their own day off-screen, which gives switching a purpose beyond convenience. The plot guide has the frame all of this sits in.

What to Do With All of It

File it, do not bank it. Every item above comes from one creator’s memory of a July build, translated by a fan, and none of it has been repeated by Rockstar on the record. Some will survive to launch. Some will be tuned, renamed or cut. The break-up answer is the one to watch, because it is the only detail that contradicts something Rockstar has said publicly, and Rockstar settles those quietly in the next interview.

The guides linked throughout are being updated with the MikeShowSha attribution attached, so you can see which lines came from Edinburgh and which came from a trailer. Just over ten weeks to go. The information tap is dripping faster than it has any right to.
