Taser

The Taser is a piece of equipment available to players in Grand Theft Auto VI.

The Taser surfaced in the September 2022 GTA VI development leak. While not officially confirmed by Rockstar, leaked items have historically had a strong correlation with final-game content.

The August 2026 gameplay leak put the taser at the center of its most discussed sequence. Press analysis described the player taking a stun gun from a police officer during a night arrest, then using it on security guards at the Allied Crystal refinery and on a downed body. The clips also showed a taser icon with an ammo count in the HUD, and one breakdown described a disarm move performed with it. The late-August clips added more: the weapon wheel names it the Shocker, being tased causes screen effects but does not drop Jason, who keeps fighting through the jolt, and tased NPCs convulse on the ground with far better physics than GTA 5 managed. Guards at the Allied Crystal compound carry them as standard kit. It reads as a non-lethal tool with real systemic depth. This wiki does not link or host leaked footage.

Spotted in source materials from the 2022 development leak, then seen in action throughout the August 2026 leaked gameplay clips as covered by PC Gamer, Kotaku and Gameranx. No trailer appearance has been publicly catalogued yet.
