Jason has a troubled-youth past and a stint in the army before drifting into the Leonida Keys, where he picks up work running drugs for veteran smuggler Brian Heder. A Leonida Marine Centre tank top recurs across his outfits, hinting at the marine/Keys backdrop.

He lives in a trailer on Brian's property, which doubles as a smuggling hub. Trailer 2 shows him alongside Lucia, robbing a liquor store and tearing through Vice City on motorcycles.

Jason is paired with Lucia for the bulk of confirmed story moments. Rockstar's framing positions him as the more reactive, emotional half of the duo, with Lucia driving the strategy. He is shown working with Brian's smuggling crew and is acquainted with the bar regular Cal Hampton at The Rusty Anchor.

Jason has stubble, short brown hair, and a tan from outdoor work. Outfits include a white "Leonida Marine Centre" tank top with a backwards cap, a Hawaiian shirt for warmer scenes, and tactical wear for heist sequences.

Duval is also a real Florida county that contains Jacksonville, fitting the Leonida-as-Florida design.
