Late to this but the northern region boundaries track with the trailer geography almost exactly (the ridge line at 0:41 especially). If the scale holds thats a bigger playable north than most of the mapping community projected. Nice catch on the river split too.
Good question. Road signs in trailers list town names and distances, and we cross reference those against real Florida geography. St Joseph is on exactly one Extended Look sign and nowhere else, which is why it is the interesting one.
V16 finally gives the southern gap a name. Capri built from Naples, Sebring and Lakeland matches every sign distance we have argued about since trailer 2, and the rail line into Port Gellhorn is the detail I am happiest about.
A real city voting on whether to become its own parody is peak media geography. Six building wraps in downtown Miami would be the most honest urban branding ever approved.
Eleven times Los Santos including the suburbs is the number that matters here. Density scales differently than raw area (narrower streets mean more geometry per square km), so heavy traffic on a base PS5 is the real benchmark. Curious where the district boundaries actually sit.
Did a rough overlay of the alleged map against the fan project canvas last night. The 1.5x estimate everyone quotes treats water as dead space, which is wrong for a game with boats and (presumably) diving. Routable area > raw pixel math. If the Keys chain is fully driveable the effective map is a lot bigger than it looks.
overlaid the trailer 2 ridgelines against north georgia dem data this week and the correlation is uncanny. if the park is even half the rumored size its the biggest elevation change in series history. i want fire lookout towers so bad
Georeferenced the recreation against my trailer-shot control points and its surprisingly tight, maybe 5 percent scale drift in the panhandle. Whoever built this clearly used the same landmark set I did. The coastline curvature north of Vice City is the only section that feels off
