Sunbathing sits on the confirmed activity lists, and the leaked Vice Beach clip that Polygon covered showed the world it happens in: hundreds of NPCs on towels and under umbrellas, the densest crowd work Rockstar has shipped. As a player activity it likely means claiming a spot and passing time, with the scene around you doing the entertaining.

Beaches have been backdrop since 2002’s Vice City, but lying on one was never a verb. Making it one fits GTA 6’s slower, more inhabited idea of an open world.

The beach that broke the internet

That leaked clip became a meme factory within hours, largely thanks to one NPC face-down in the sand doing absolutely nothing better than anyone has ever done nothing.
