Arcade cabinets turned up in the leaks and the Extended Look hides a VR headset gag, but nobody has been shown actually playing anything. Games within the game stay expected, not confirmed.

The VR headset joke

At 17:27 in the Extended Look, a character wears a VR headset that Road to VR identified as a riff on the original Oculus Quest. It is a sight gag, not a feature: no VR mode exists for GTA 6 on any platform. What the gag does prove is that Rockstar is thinking about how its characters play games.

Cabinets and consoles

The harder evidence is in the leaks, where arcade cabinets appear at Game Hoorde, covered in our arcade games entry. GTA Online’s arcade properties shipped a dozen genuinely playable machines, and Rockstar has built games within games since San Andreas’ They Crawled From Uranus and GTA 4’s QUB3D. A console on Jason and Lucia’s safehouse shelf would simply extend the tradition to the sofa; it just has not been shown yet.
