PS5 cheats FAQ
How do you enter cheat codes in GTA 6 on PS5?
Two methods are expected, both carried over from GTA 5: pressing a DualSense button sequence quickly during gameplay, with a confirmation message once it registers, or dialling a 1-999 number on the in-game phone, the series standard since GTA 4. There is no pause-menu cheat screen in modern GTA games.
Is there a money cheat in GTA 6 on PS5?
Almost certainly not. GTA 5 never had a money cheat on any platform because free cash would undermine the in-game economy, and with GTA 6 Online sharing characters with story mode that logic is even stronger now. Earn money through missions, heists and the stock-style systems instead.
Do cheats disable trophies on PS5?
In GTA 5, entering any cheat blocked trophies for that session only. Fully closing and restarting the game restored them, and your trophy record was never permanently damaged. GTA 6 is expected to work the same way, but keep a clean save before a cheat spree just in case.
Do cheat effects stay after saving the game?
No. GTA 5 cleared every active cheat when you saved, reloaded or restarted, and effects never carried into a saved game. Some cheats also ran on timers, invincibility famously cut out after five minutes and had to be re-entered. Expect the same session-only behaviour in GTA 6.
Will GTA 6 use the same button combos as GTA 5?
Unknown until launch. GTA 5’s PlayStation inputs stayed identical across PS3, PS4 and PS5, so if these classic cheats return the muscle memory may carry over. Rockstar could just as easily write fresh combos, which is why every input here is labelled expected rather than confirmed.
Can you use cheats during missions?
Mostly, with limits. GTA 5 let you fire off most cheats in free roam but restricted some effects while a mission script was running, and cheating never counted towards gold medal objectives. Free roam is the safe playground; expect missions in GTA 6 to clamp down the same way.
Do cheats work in GTA 6 Online?
No. Cheats have never functioned in GTA Online and Rockstar actively bans players who force advantages through third-party tools. Every code on this page is for single-player only, and that will not change in GTA 6.
