Watching TV

GamesRadar’s Extended Look breakdown caught actual programming on in-world screens: a parody fast-food commercial and a nature documentary, watched with a cold drink in hand.

What was spotted

Two pieces of programming surfaced in the Extended Look per GamesRadar: a commercial parodying American fast food and a nature documentary. Rockstar does not write TV content players cannot watch, so the safehouse sofa loop from GTA 4 and 5 is safely back.

That nature documentary would pair suspiciously well with the confirmed animal checklist, which is either a coincidence or exactly the kind of cross-system joke Rockstar builds on purpose.

The line-up question

GTA 5 shipped whole channels of original comedy, Republican Space Rangers and Fame or Shame included, and the TV writing has always been where the series’ satire runs hottest. How deep the Leonida schedule goes is one of the better unanswered launch questions.
