- Creators visiting the studio saw a soap opera and a Family Guy style cartoon where, in one visitor’s words, every character looks like a dick.

- The game reportedly features the most radio and TV adverts Rockstar has ever produced.
- In-game TV is a series tradition going back to GTA 4’s watchable channels, but this is the first time whole seasons have been promised.
Rockstar Hired People to Make Television
Buried in the creator accounts from Rockstar’s studio visits is a detail that says more about GTA 6’s ambition than any map measurement. The studio confirmed it brought on animators and storytellers whose actual job was to create television shows, complete shows, with seasons and episodes, that exist only to air on the TVs inside the game. Not looping ten-second gags. Programming.
Creators who saw the game running described flicking past a soap opera and an animated comedy in the Family Guy mould, which one visitor memorably summarised as a cartoon where every character looks like a dick. Somewhere in a Rockstar office, a writers’ room exists for shows that will only ever broadcast inside a crime game.

Unrudo, Mega Mundo and the Vice City Dial
Two named productions have surfaced so far. Unrudo is a telenovela whose poster art reworks Ugly Betty, the American remake of the Colombian classic Yo soy Betty, la fea, a perfectly chosen target for a Spanish-language TV parody in Vice City. And then there is Mega Mundo, the Telemundo send-up that is not just a channel you can watch but a physical institution in the game world.

Mega Mundo’s gleaming HQ hosts the gala that closes the Extended Look, where Petra Navarro runs the room and Andres de Leon needs minding. The network you channel-surf at home is the same company whose tower you fight through in the story. That is the loop GTA has always gestured at and never quite closed.

A Tradition Since Liberty City Went HD
In-game television is one of Rockstar’s oldest flexes. GTA 4 shipped with watchable channels in 2008, Republican Space Rangers and I’m Rich among them, and GTA 5 carried the torch with Fame or Shame and Kung Fu Rainbow Lazer Force. Those were sketches, though. Funny, disposable, a few minutes each. The GTA 6 pitch is structurally different: seasons and episodes imply shows you can actually follow, appointment television inside a game you will already never leave.

Add the claim that GTA 6 features the most radio and TV adverts the studio has ever produced, and the picture is of a parody media ecosystem built to the same density as the city outside it. Vice City is a television town, and Rockstar appears to have built the television to match.
