The brief Jason and Lucia get for the Mega Mundo gala is one of the Extended Look’s best pieces of writing: protect Andres de Leon, keep him in line, gas him up, make him feel good about himself. That is not a bodyguard job, that is babysitting a celebrity ego, and Andres lives up to it within seconds of appearing. He greets total strangers as old friends, announces himself as a hugger, and pulls the two hired guns in for an embrace.

Coverage of the showcase, including SVG’s location roundup, reads him as a media executive with an intense drug habit, and the footage does little to argue. His frantic monologue about his frontal cortex being in overdrive and having so many ideas in five minutes is the sort of dialogue that does its own diagnosing.

Keeping Andres in line proves harder than protecting him. When Petra Navarro calls him down for the big speech, he refuses point blank, a hard pass delivered mid-bender while Jason waits on him upstairs. Then the shooting starts. Armed men hit the tower, the party turns into a firefight, and the Extended Look cuts to black with the attack unresolved.

Dialogue in the chaos suggests the attackers got to Andres, which would make the whole protection job a failure with consequences. Whether he is dead, taken or simply grabbed off-screen is unknown, and Rockstar clearly wants it that way. The gala doubles as the showcase’s advert for its own storytelling: hire on at Mega Mundo, watch the city’s media elite implode from the inside.

PC Gamer suspects a workplace romance between Andres and Petra, which remains unconfirmed. The larger debate is about his narrative weight: whether he is a one-mission protection target or a recurring window into Mega Mundo, the Telemundo parody whose tower, gala and TV output all featured heavily in the showcase. Given how much screen time the network got, betting on Andres being a one-scene wonder feels brave.
