Megamundo

Megamundo is GTA 6’s riff on Telemundo, scaled up from a TV network gag into a full media conglomerate with story weight. The company is opening its first United States headquarters in Vice City, and the celebration gala for that move is the setting of the Extended Look’s final sequence, where Valentina hires Jason and Lucia onto the security detail for media magnate Andres De León before the evening goes loudly wrong.

The corporate cast is unusually fleshed out for a parody brand. Petra Navaro appears as the company’s COO, De León moves through the gala with an NDA-stamped entourage, and the whole event reads like Rockstar building a Vice City power structure it intends to use. Megamundo also operates as an actual watchable network on the in-game TV lineup.

The real Telemundo has been headquartered in the Miami area for decades, so a parody version planting its first US flag in Vice City is Rockstar geography working exactly as usual. The tower siting plays the same trick: aerial shots put it right above a bayfront park with an observation wheel at the water, which reads as a near copy of downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park and the Skyviews wheel at Bayside Marketplace. Fans have also floated a link between Petra Navaro and GTA 5’s Ray Navaro, though that connection is community speculation with nothing official behind it.
