Tennis

Tennis is expected to volley back from GTA 5, a polished one-on-one mini-game played out on the courts of Leonida’s country clubs and public parks, rewarding timing, positioning and shot placement.

Overview

Tennis was one of GTA 5’s most fully realised mini-games, with proper rallies and a real sense of court positioning. Leonida’s clubs and parks give it an obvious home, and its return would round out a sports roster that already looks set to include basketball.

How it works

GTA 5’s tennis came down to moving to the ball, timing your swing and choosing between flat, lob and drop shots to pull your opponent out of position. A returning version would likely keep that timing-and-placement core, scored across games and sets like the real sport.

In the series

Tennis was introduced as a side-activity in GTA 5, where it was surprisingly deep. No mainline game has offered it since, so a comeback in GTA 6 would simply restore a well-liked feature rather than break new ground.

Trivia

Tennis and basketball give GTA 6 a two-sport sports layer; paired with the gym, they hint at a fitness-and-athletics theme running through the side content.
