Overview

GTA 5 made the ocean floor a place worth visiting, and GTA 6 has already shown it is going further: official screenshots from the Leonida Keys package picture scuba divers swimming past coral reefs, sea turtles, eels and reef fish. A Florida setting full of reefs and shallows gives the activity far more to work with than the murky seabed of Los Santos.

How it works

Diving usually revolves around managing oxygen while you search the seabed, with a tank extending how long you can stay under. Reefs, sunken boats and underwater caches would give the activity a clear loop of explore, find and surface, tying into both wildlife and hidden-collectible systems.

In the series

Underwater exploration arrived properly in GTA 5, where buying scuba gear let you scour the seabed for nuclear waste and other finds. GTA 6 carrying that forward into warmer, clearer water would make diving feel like a headline feature rather than a niche one.

Trivia

Scuba diving, kayaking and fishing together form a layered water-activities suite, and analysis of the leaked Leonida map points the same way, listing underwater exploration among the activities identified from its points of interest.
