The October 28 South Park episode “Guinea Pig on a Stick” carried about seventeen seconds of genuine GTA 6 gameplay, credited to Rockstar in the end titles: Jason on a crowded Vice City beach, a dog, its owner, a thrown object and a retaliation with the bag. It is the first unseen gameplay Rockstar has let anyone else publish, and it is a systems demo wearing a joke.
- Aired on Comedy Central on October 28 in “Guinea Pig on a Stick”, season 29 episode 4; credits read “Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc.”
- The clip: a dog on a packed Vice Beach, the owner bags it, Jason throws something, the owner squares up, Jason hits him with the bag and bystanders react.
- Visible around the joke: a working stretch of Vice City beach with sunbathers and seaweed lines, footprints in the sand, Lucia in the background and the phone-style minimap.
- Rockstar has not commented; Eurogamer verified the footage as genuine. No episode frames in our gallery until Rockstar posts the clip itself.
Seventeen Seconds Nobody Expected
The newest GTA 6 gameplay did not arrive on the Newswire. It aired on Comedy Central on Wednesday, October 28, inside “Guinea Pig on a Stick”, the fourth episode of South Park’s 29th season, and the end credits carry the line that makes it official: “Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc.” Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Randy Marsh and Butters’ dad sit around a table while a woman presents what she says is smuggled footage of the game, and the joke is that the release, landing around the midterms, is the real existential threat to the country. “November is coming,” she says. The show has been running that gag all season: don’t worry, everything will be better in November, that is when GTA 6 comes out.

What plays on the television is about seventeen seconds of real third-person gameplay with the minimap on screen. Jason and Lucia are on a packed Vice City beach. A dog squats, its owner bends down to bag it, Jason lobs something at him, the man turns to square up, and Jason picks the bag up and hits him over the head with it while nearby sunbathers react. The presenter narrates it dead straight: “It’s a dog, taking a poop. And people can pick up the dog poop! You can throw things at the person with dog poop. And if they choose to fight back, you can pick up the dog poop, and actually attack them with the dog poop. That is what’s coming in November.”

Why a Cartoon Got Footage Before the Press
Rockstar has kept outside access tight in this campaign; Edge got a studio visit and twelve stills, and that was about it. Handing seventeen unseen seconds to Trey Parker and Matt Stone three weeks before launch is a different kind of decision, and it is very Rockstar: the clip is crude, it is funny, and it demonstrates a world systems point (pick up, throw, retaliate, bystanders react) more memorably than a Newswire bullet ever could. Eurogamer verified the footage was genuine; Rockstar itself has said nothing, which is also very Rockstar.

For the record, Rockstar’s own trailers and the official site have already shown Jason petting dogs and pedestrians arguing with each other, so the ingredients are not new. What the clip adds is sequence and consequence: the owner does not just complain, he squares up, and the fight has a second beat. That is the pattern we have built the living world guide around, and it is nice to see it hold up at the beach rather than in a cutscene.
What Else Is in the Frame
Look past the bag. The beach itself is a working stretch of Vice City sand rather than a set piece: sunbathers, swimmers, a line of washed-up seaweed, a pier in the distance and footprints that hold in the sand. Lucia is there in the background. The minimap in the corner is the phone-style one with a north indicator and the icon set from the trailers, which our HUD guide has already picked apart, so we will not repeat it here beyond noting it matches what the trailers showed. The woman presenting the clip sounds very like the narrator of Rockstar’s own gameplay trailers, which fans flagged within the hour; the episode credits thank Rockstar for the footage and do not name a narrator, so that stays an ear test rather than a fact.
