- GTA 6 introduces on-demand podcasts for the first time, and both radio and podcasts play on foot through headphones and earbuds connected to the smartphone.
- Rockstar calls it the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet, with station previews streaming at the Music section of its official site.
Six Stations, Officially on the Dial
Rockstar finally opened the radio chapter. A Newswire post on 8 October detailed six of GTA 6’s in-game stations, promising the biggest and widest-ranging selection of radio in series history, spanning everything from classic rock to talk radio beyond the six named. Previews of all six are streaming now at the Music section of Rockstar’s official site, and the post teases more to come, including details on the dynamic score and further singles from GTA VI: The Album.
Each station arrived with official artwork and named hosts, and the six cover a deliberate spread: modern Latin, renegade country, African music, metal, pop and southern hip-hop. The full dial, these six plus every leaked and expected name, lives in the radio directory.
The Six, Station by Station
Cocoteo FM is Leonida’s home of modern Latin music, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata and running from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton, pitched by Rockstar as el party que nunca se apaga.

Back Country Radio has MW and Delta Dawne blasting renegade country to the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond, with roving reporter, swamp meteorologist and Delta’s not-so-secret lover Mud Dog Mike checking in from his airboat.

AfroBank FM covers African music with hosts Burna and Palmsy, from 20th-century classics and undiscovered gems to contemporary sounds like amapiano and 3-step.

The Chamber 106.6 settles a two-month guessing game: the only leaked station name that came with a frequency is the metal station, with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom playing classic metal from the ’80s and beyond and channelling Leonida’s deep metal roots.

Flash FM is the comeback. The Vice City institution from the original 1986-set game returns as the pop station, hosted by Robyn and Alex and guaranteed, in Rockstar’s words, to make you dance anywhere in the Goodtime State.

Dirty South Classics brings regional rap and hip-hop classics with Trick and Trina, from the beach to the block, host names that will read to Miami rap fans as a very pointed wink.

Podcasts and Headphones Change How Radio Works
The structural news sits under the station blurbs. GTA 6 introduces a series of on-demand podcasts for the first time in the series, and both radio and podcasts can be listened to on foot, through newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia’s smartphones. That quietly ends the series-long rule that the soundtrack lives in vehicles, and it fits everything else known about the phone as a physical object you actually carry.
For returning players the shape is familiar from GTA V’s talk radio and iFruit, but podcasts as a named, on-demand format are new ground, and Rockstar is saying nothing yet about hosts or subject matter. Expect them to carry a lot of the satire.
