GTA 6 Leak Count Hits Eleven Clips as Take-Two Subpoenas X, Google and YouTube

The August leak affair did not pause for breath after the hypercar clip. Between August 22 and August 24 the Cyberleek account published five more alleged gameplay videos, bringing the running total to eleven clips and well over twenty minutes of unauthorised GTA 6 footage, per the hour-by-hour timeline maintained by Rockstar Mag.

The cadence has become theatre in its own right. Per IGN, the account runs website polls where votes are cast by buying its promoted memecoin, and fans reportedly spent hundreds of dollars’ worth of tokens deciding what leaks next. Clip seven opens with Jason broke at a pump. The gas station menu offers a $32 refuel or a $2,429 repair, he can afford neither, and the sequence spirals through a clerk robbery, a convenience store hold-up and a slow-motion cinematic crash on a bridge before ending at the doors of a strip club, per Kotaku. Clip eight goes inside. Weapons cannot be drawn on the premises, a pool minigame is playable, and lingering near the stage hands control to a cinematic camera, with a bathroom cutscene closing the video. The clips never name the venue, and community readings are split between the two clubs already documented on the wiki, the upscale Jack of Hearts and Port Gellhorn’s Delights Cabaret.

Clip nine, released August 23, keeps Jason around his home turf in the Leonida Keys: he carjacks a pickup from a conspiracy-theorist NPC, roughs up a local and picks up the next slice of an unseen cutscene, which per Rockstar Mag appears to tease Lucia’s arrival. Clip ten is the night flight whose expanded dial rewrote our radio directory last week, and it doubles as the source of several tracks now catalogued in the soundtrack guide.

Clip eleven, the longest of the wave at two and a half minutes, is also the strangest: a night tour of a nudist resort. Past the shock value it may be the most systems-dense clip yet. Binoculars raise contextual prompts on distant NPCs, residents recognise their friends and step into fights to defend them, and a notification shows staff refusing service over player behaviour. The legal response escalated in step with the releases. After a New York federal court granted Take-Two’s DMCA subpoenas against Microsoft and Discord on August 21, the publisher filed further subpoenas against X, Google and YouTube on August 23 seeking information on suspected Cyberleek accounts, per IGN and Rockstar Mag. Cyberleek’s official Telegram channel has been permanently closed, and the leaker has kept posting anyway.

The money trail is sharpening too. GTAForums members traced funding for the promoted memecoin back to an exchange that enforces identity checks, and estimate the operation nets thousands of dollars a day in trading fees. The account has also reportedly quoted advertisers six-figure sums in cryptocurrency for “collaborations”, per Kotaku. Rockstar and Take-Two have stayed publicly silent throughout, with the disruption limited to court filings.

All of this lands two days before Rockstar’s first official gameplay showing. The Extended Look premieres on Netflix on August 27, with a free YouTube release the same evening, and per Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier there are no plans to move it despite the leaks.
