Bayside

Bayside is a waterfront district of Vice City confirmed by name in the Extended Look. An early safehouse sits somewhere in the area, Jason and Lucia part ways with Raul Bautista here after the bank getaway, and the line “Back in Bayside. Want to take a look around?” kicks off the showcase’s side-activity montage. The mapping community ties the drop-off point to the parking garage and park from the Trailer 2 Vice City postcard, with the real Bayside Marketplace as the likely inspiration.

Overview

Bayside earned its page the easy way: somebody says it out loud. After the bank getaway, Jason and Lucia drop Raul off and one of them asks, “Where are we? Back in Bayside. Want to take a look around?” What follows is the Extended Look’s tour of downtime, basketball, snorkelling and a workout, all framed as things to do in the neighbourhood.

Bayside sits inside Vice-Dale County on the Leonida map, and an early safehouse shown in the showcase is placed sort of in the Bayside area by walkthrough coverage.

Real-World Inspiration

The name and waterfront setting point at Bayside Marketplace, the open-air mall on Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami. Easter egg coverage spotted a shoreline parody of the marketplace near the apartment used for a Dexter Easter egg, which fits the district’s placement.

Appearances

Named in dialogue in the August 2026 Extended Look and shown as the Raul drop-off point. The mapping community matched the drop-off to the same parking garage and park visible on the Vice City postcard released with Trailer 2.

Trivia

The safehouse shown early in the showcase, a coral pink low-rise with towers behind it, is widely read as Jason and Lucia’s early-chapters base, though Rockstar has not confirmed when the story visits it.
