Overview

Some characters get an introduction scene. Raul Bautista gets a getaway. Jason and Lucia meet the veteran bank robber for the first time by picking him up across the street from a Fleeca bank he has just emptied, and the mission opens with an instant four-star wanted level and the whole neighbourhood painted red on the minimap.

The chase is the Extended Look’s big driving showcase. Lucia takes the wheel while Jason leans half out the window shooting, and coverage confirms the roles are a choice: you can drive, or you can ride shotgun and mean it.

Story

An alley cutscene mid-escape sets the dynamic. Raul is the professional, the couple are the amateurs who could use his help, and his own dialogue does the heavy lifting: “Always goes as planned, huh? No, mami.” There will always be some kind of problem, he tells her, and then the line that sticks: “A professional adapts. Are you a professional, Lucia?” Before jumping into a van, Lucia torches the car they had been spotted in, whether as a wanted-system mechanic or pure theatre is unclear. The route mapped by the community runs from the southern tip of Vice Beach, west off the Venetian Islands through toll gates, to a drop-off in Bayside at the same parking garage and park seen on the Trailer 2 postcard.

What we actually see

The wanted system does a lot of talking. Only four of six stars light up, confirming the six-star scale is back. The searched area shows red on the minimap, cops do not appear on radar, and Rob Nelson’s framing explains why: someone needs to report a crime, usually by phone or an alarm, before the heat arrives, and spotting officers is on you, with Focus there to help. “It can be harder, but it’s fun.” Vehicle damage is overhauled too, with distinct harm to the engine block, gas tank, tyres and driver, and Jason fires on a police helicopter and pickup trucks mid-chase. If your escape vehicle gets reported, you may need to find another.

Trivia

Raul wears Lance Vance’s outfit on the GTA 6 cover art, and a later cruising scene puts the trio in a Schafter, Gay Tony’s personal car from The Ballad of Gay Tony. The community’s ear for voices has already gone to work on him too.
