Catalan Bay

Catalan Bay is one of the fresh Leonida Keys names revealed by the August 2026 leaked map, appearing in close-ups alongside Catalan Key and Gloriana Key. Nothing of its character has been shown beyond the label. Rockstar has not acknowledged the leak, so the area stays unofficial until the Keys are mapped properly.

Overview

Catalan Bay is a named area shown in close-ups of the leaked August 2026 map, one of several fresh names revealed in the Leonida Keys chain alongside Catalan Key and Gloriana Key.

Catalan Bay sits inside Leonida Keys on the Leonida map.

Real-World Inspiration

Catalan Bay evokes the fishing camps of the Lower Florida Keys. The real Lower Keys hide quiet marinas and backcountry docks off the Overseas Highway, where flats skiffs work shallow turquoise water toward the Gulf.

Evidence and Status

The name appears on leaked map close-ups covered by multiple outlets in August 2026. Rockstar has not acknowledged the leaked material, which traces back to an old 2022 to 2023 build, so details may have changed. The Extended Look on August 27 may confirm the area officially.

Trivia

The real Catalan Bay is a fishing village on the east side of Gibraltar. Whether Rockstar is reaching for that reference or simply riffing on Florida's Spanish colonial naming is anyone's guess.
