Sooth reads as new in Jeeves Williams’ brand review, but the wikis know better: Grand Theft Wiki places the brand in San Andreas and GTA IV, where the GTA Wiki records radio adverts, a formula of codeine, morphine and alcohol, and a kids’ version called Sooth Junior in an animal shaped bottle.
The soothing, in other words, was always the intoxication, a joke the wiki links to purple drank. Its return puts it back beside Chesty, the franchise’s other syrup of questionable virtue.
