AfroBank FM

Turn up the gbedu: Rockstar announced AfroBank FM on October 8, 2026 as GTA VI's African music station, hosted by what it calls the dynamic duo of Burna and Palmsy. The curation brief is unusually wide, spanning 20th-century classics, undiscovered gems and contemporary club sounds like amapiano and 3-step.

It reads as the first GTA station built squarely around contemporary African pop, a step past the diaspora sounds that stations like Blue Ark covered in GTA V, and a notably current pick given how young 3-step is as a style.

The station, its format and its hosts Burna and Palmsy are official as of the October 8, 2026 Newswire announcement, with a preview stream live at the Music section of Rockstar's site. No frequency, playlist or guest list has been detailed beyond the preview, and the station never appeared in any leaked radio menu.

The host name Burna lands about as subtly as a lightning bolt in a station logo, inviting the reading that an Afrobeats superstar is attached, though Rockstar has not named the voice talent. Amapiano and 3-step are South African styles, and 3-step only crystallised as a named genre in the mid-2020s, which makes AfroBank FM the most current-sounding brief on the whole dial.
