Back Country Radio was one of the nine stations in the radio menu that leaked in August 2026, and it arrived with receipts: the leaked clips caught it playing Rhinestone Cowboy, Glen Campbell's 1975 crossover country anthem. That single data point sketches the format instantly, classic country for the swamps, pine flats, and small towns beyond Vice City.

Leonida's map is expected to stretch deep into rural territory, from Lake Leonida to the wetlands, and a country station is the obvious soundtrack for that half of the state.

The station name appeared in the leaked menu and Rhinestone Cowboy was heard playing on it. Nothing else, including the host, the frequency, or the rest of the playlist, has surfaced. The footage is believed to come from an older development build, Rockstar has not confirmed the station, and WikiGTAVI does not link or host leaked footage.

Country has a proud GTA lineage: K-Rose in San Andreas turned a niche station into a fan legend, and Rebel Radio carried the outlaw torch in GTA V. Back Country Radio reads as the Leonida heir to that line, with Florida's own country tradition to draw on.

Rhinestone Cowboy topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1975 and became Glen Campbell's signature song. Its appearance in the leak was one of the details that convinced coverage the clips came from genuine game files rather than a fabrication.
