Zombix is a branded medication that works as a healing item in Grand Theft Auto VI. It appeared in the August 2026 gameplay leak, where the item wheel showed it as a consumable alongside weapons.

The most interesting detail is a tutorial message captured in the clips: repeated use of Zombix will temporarily have a weaker effect on your health. That points to a diminishing-returns healing system, a clear break from the instant snacks of GTA V and closer to the survival leanings of Red Dead Redemption 2.

The late-August clips filled in the presentation: Zombix sits in the item wheel as a red pill bottle with a pink heart icon and a stock count, Jason carries three at one point, and pills can be looted straight from bodies, including homeless NPCs in the encampment scene.

Rockstar has not confirmed the item, and details from leaked builds can change before release.

The name plays on zombie imagery in the style of real-world sleep aids like Ambien, a very Rockstar jab at pharmaceutical branding. Sharp-eyed fans note the brand already existed in GTA 5, where a billboard advertised Zombix as a painkiller and antidepressant combo. The generic Painkillers item from the 2022 leak may be this item’s earlier, unbranded form.
