Otter

The Otter spent months on this site’s expected list as a Florida wetlands native with Red Dead precedent. It moves up on the strength of IGN’s running GTA VI animal roundup, which places otters among the land animals compiled from Rockstar’s trailers, screenshots and sightings by people who previewed a near-final build.

No public frame or timestamp shows one yet, so the otter’s confirmation rests on preview compilations rather than footage anyone can pause. That is a weaker grade of evidence than a trailer appearance, and this page says so.

Real river otters work the freshwater side of Florida: spring runs, cypress swamps and river banks, which in Leonida terms points to the Grassrivers channels and the waterways threading Mount Kalaga. They den on land and hunt in water, the kind of split routine Rockstar’s ambient wildlife systems are built to sell.
