The Labrador Retriever was one of seven dog breeds in Grand Theft Auto V, padding around Los Santos alongside Chop the Rottweiler. Community lists expect it back for GTA VI, but unlike the Doberman or the Miniature Pinscher nobody has pinned a Labrador to a specific trailer frame or screenshot, so it holds an expected badge here.

With Game Informer putting the species count above 170 and the Extended Look confirming that dogs can be petted, scolded or studied, the odds of America’s long-reigning favourite family dog missing the roster feel slim. The badge changes the moment someone finds one on camera.

Everywhere, which is rather the point. Suburban yards, boat docks, beach promenades and the back seats of pickup trucks are all natural Labrador habitat, and all of them are confirmed Leonida scenery. If Rockstar wants one dog to sell normal life in Vice City’s residential blocks, this is the breed that does it.
